This vision gives a clear direction to your team so they know why they are doing what they do and how that fits within the larger corporate vision.<\/span><\/h5>

Schedule a meeting and give the team time to come prepared.
Scheduling a meeting with the team, preferably weeks in the future so they can have time to think on their own and come prepared is a very important step. This meeting will most likely involve the collaborative idea generation technique which is, brainstorming (We’ll discuss brainstorming later in this course). Thinking out loud and generating ideas from the team alongside your ideas will widen your perspective and will help in making the process of figuring out the best vision and mission for your team much simpler, at the end of the day, they are the ones who do the work.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

While hosting the meeting, leave your leader cap and wear a cap of a facilitator or delegate it to someone else in the team, which is someone who aids the progress of the meeting and whenever the conversation goes off-board be attentive and redirect it back to the topic so you can ensure that time is not wasted in irrelevant discussions. How the team will relate to it, is how successful it will be<\/span>
Upon gathering ideas, combine all the ideas into something that the team can relate to and will challenge them, just don’t go too bold, the statements must not be impossible to achieve, that they can sense the progress. Having team ambition dressed in a vision & mission statement is an excellent indirect way to impact the way they think and how much they are bringing to the table. The golden rule here is to keep it short, you want the team to remember it easily, which will make the team’s effort to reflect back to it a much easier task.<\/span>
The traditional workplace, with employees chained to cubicles, living on coffee and hating their jobs, is grossly outdated.<\/span><\/h5>
However, there’s more to building a positive workplace culture than simply installing a foosball table and throwing out free gym memberships.<\/span>
Instead, you need to look at how faithful you are being to your original vision statement and ask yourself if you’re a business owner:<\/span><\/h5>
\u25cf Are my employees excited to come into work?<\/span><\/h5>
\u25cf Do they share the same goals as me?<\/span><\/h5>
\u25cf Is the office culture changing from what it was?<\/span>
Businesses are indeed experimenting with all different types of workplace landscapes, and this should be encouraged, but if you are sticking to your vision from day one, then the process will be a lot more defined and easier to implement.<\/span>

With all the ideas coming together, a much easier way to finalize and take a final statement is to have a vote on 3 suggestions for each. Doing the voting will allow the team to select their own preferred vision & mission to move forward with while you have done your part by suggesting 3 that you believe are relatable from the ideas, once the team votes two out and one as a good to go, you’ll be easily sure that you selected the right one with everyone committing and supporting it and then; announce it!<\/span>
As businesses grow, circumstances change, and environments shift, it’s only natural that they drift away from their original vision. Often, though, this is to a company’s detriment rather than its benefit; while, of course, it’s necessary to adapt your practices, your products, and, in some cases, even your entire target market, your core vision should never change.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t
