Probably not everyone does this very often due to many reasons but the result is the same, you didn&#8217;t get the feedback because you asked, you usually get it because it&#8217;s scheduled at that time.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-93ee9ea exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"93ee9ea\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Another question you should ask yourself is when was the last time you asked your team for feedback? Some leaders are so busy that they forget and some are too egoistic to ask because they feel superior to their team and accordingly the result of this is a disconnection between you and your team.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-268a64a exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Asking for feedback could be the single most impactful thing a leader could do to improve their performance and have better awareness of where they stand.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18aa695 exad-sticky-section-no class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">It goes without saying, confident leaders naturally will perform better than insecure and unaware leaders.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fcd73a2 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">And maybe you don&#8217;t know it but by now you should realize that confidence is key to great leadership.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-edfdcb5 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Over time, we subconsciously developed several defense mechanisms to protect our fragile egos against the idea that requesting feedback is a sign of vulnerability while it&#8217;s a sign of confidence.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f21a69 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5f21a69\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">One of these security mechanisms is called the self-enhancement bias which means that we tend to trick ourselves into believing that other people&#8217;s successes are the result of good luck and their failures are well deserved, while our failures are a result of bad luck and our successes are well earned because we work hard.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-272efaa exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"272efaa\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The thing about self-enhancement bias is that it gives us these fake boosts in our confidence and does motivate us to achieve and work harder but if it&#8217;s left unchecked, our ego grows and naturally creates unhealthy self-delusion that can result in narcissism and selfishness.<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-770b981 exad-sticky-section-no exad-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"770b981\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">This can lead also to broken relationships and poorer outcomes that impact you and others around you who are impacted by this behavior.<\/span><\/h5><h5><span style=\"color: #000080;\">And then comes feedbackto give us the wake up call that we
