Today&#8217;s leaders can no longer lead solely based on positional power.&#8221;.<\/h5>\n<h5>The situational leadership model was developed by Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard during the mid-1970s, they believed that leadership is an adaptive leadership style, not a set style to follow.<\/h5>\n<h5>This strategy encourages leaders to know their team members, consider many variables in their organisation, and choose the leadership style that best fits their goals and circumstances, so in a nutshell, being a flexible leader.<\/h5>\n<h5>This leadership model works on two levels, one level is the team level and what you need to do, and the other level works on you and what you must do at certain times.<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">The team<\/h5>\n<h5>As a leader, your team has a cycle of maturity development whether they are new joiners or been in the team for a while,<\/h5>\n<h5>There&#8217;s always progress in the team maturity level and accordingly,<\/h5>\n<h5>You will also be progressing your leadership style to match that current state.<\/h5>\n<h5>Let&#8217;s look at each of them in depth.<\/h5>\n<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-1990\" open>\n<summary data-accordion-index=\"1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-1990\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t Level 1: The Enthusiastic Beginner &#8211;
