During uncertain times, it’s the leader that the team aspires to follow.<\/h5>\n
How optimistic or pessimistic you are is contagious to your team, they will pick it up and do the same.<\/h5>\n
In times of crisis or disruption, people turn to their leaders for answers.<\/h5>\n
But you do need to address your team’s core needs and build their physical and psychological security by first showing it yourself.<\/h5>\n
Hope and optimism are part of your team’s psychological capital and have a great impact on engagement and performance.
Uncertainty and change can become breeding grounds for pessimism and demotivation, so it is important that leaders foster hope through example.<\/h5>\n
While it is important, to be honest, you can still inspire hope and positivity among your team by leading with optimism.<\/h5>\n
