Lesson 3: Prioritization & time management<\/h2>\n

What is prioritization?
\n<\/h3>\n

Finishing tasks is great but which are more important and which are less urgent? Knowing the difference will change your life and your own understanding of your productivity level, in simpler words, how much can you accomplish in how long.<\/h5>\n
Prioritization is the activity of arranging tasks or activities in order of importance compared to each other. It ensures that you allocate enough time to finish tasks and also make necessary changes to your schedule in order to save time and become a more productive leader.<\/h5>\n
As a principle, it means doing ‘first things first;’ in the shape of a process, it means evaluating a group of items and ranking them in their order of importance or urgency.<\/h5>\n
Let’s take an example,<\/h5>\n
If you have 3 tasks, 2 of them would take 1 hour to finish and the last one would take 10 minutes to finish, which one would you start with?<\/h5>\n
A way of doing it is by starting with the most important and then moving to the less important but still, there’s the dilemma of, after 2 hours,<\/h5>\n
would you rather be someone who finishes 2 tasks that take 1 hour and then start with the 10 minutes one or, would you rather be someone who begins with the 10 minutes one and then after 2 hours you would be done with 2 of them and almost 90% done with the third?<\/h5>\n
Your ideal answer would be, the most important first but this importance level to whom?<\/h5>\n
Is it most important to you or most important for the organisation\/superiors?<\/h5>\n
