Copyrights extend for the life of the creator plus 70 years.<\/h5>\n
The useful life of a copyright generally is significantly shorter than its legal life.<\/h5>\n
Therefore, copyrights usually are amortized over a relatively short period of time<\/h5>\n
The cost of a copyright is the cost of acquiring and defending it.<\/h5>\n
The cost may be only the small fee paid to the Copyright Office.<\/h5>\n
