The ability to express and control emotions is essential, but so is the ability to understand, interpret, and respond to the emotions of others. Imagine a world you don&#8217;t understand when your friends are sad or your co-workers are angry. Psychologists call this skill emotional intelligence, and some experts even suggest that it may be more important than your IQ to your overall success in life.<\/h5>\n<h5>Emotional intelligence (also called Emotional Quotient or EQ) is the ability to understand your emotions. Understand, use, and manage in positive ways to reduce stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and mitigate conflicts. Being able to say no when necessary. Being able to share your feelings with others. Being able to solve problems in a way that works for everyone.
