Confirmation bias is a cognitive bias that influences the interpretation of information in a way that confirms pre-existing beliefs or expectations. Individuals tend to selectively attend to and interpret information that aligns with their existing schemas and expectations, while disregarding or downplaying contradictory evidence<\/h5>\n
In the organisational context, confirmation bias can lead to biased interpretations of events and behaviors. Employees may seek out information that confirms their prior beliefs about the organisation, their colleagues, or their work environment.
