Succession planning

It involves identifying key management positions that the organisation cannot afford to have vacant.<\/font><\/h5>\n
These are usually senior management positions serve two purposes.<\/font><\/h5>\n
It facilitates transition when an employee leaves.<\/font><\/h5>\n
It identifies the development needs of high-potential employees and assists with their career planning.<\/font><\/h5>\n
Succession planning programs are relatively easy to understand in concept, actual practice shows that even though organisations realise how critical the processes are, they may fail to implement succession planning effectively.<\/font><\/h5>\n
