In 1973, US “Big Three” automakers, General Motors, Ford and Daimler Chrysler, accounted for more than 82% of the market share.<\/h5>\n
Today they are less than 50%. why? Toyota took the lead as Japanese automakers entered the US market aggressively (and unexpectedly) in the 1970s.<\/h5>\n
The cars are large, heavy and expensive to mass transport.<\/h5>\n
This is one of the reasons why the US market was surprised when Toyota started selling Japanese cars in the US at a lower price than its competitors.<\/h5>\n

In the manufacturing industry, Toyota is almost synonymous with this term.<\/h5>\n
Toyota has been studying the production lines of American car makers like Ford for years.<\/h5>\n
They knew that the US automobile industry was more advanced and efficient than the Japanese industry.<\/h5>\n
So they decided to be patient.<\/h5>\n
They studied their competitors and tried to imitate what Americans did very well.<\/h5>\n
They combined these processes with their strengths and came up with something even better.<\/h5>\n
Toyota has proven that knowing your weaknesses can be the key to success-and one of the best business strategies you can ever use.<\/h5>\n
Not only that.<\/h5>\n

And one of the reasons is that Toyota’s most important corporate value is humility.<\/h5>\n
