Ethical leadership is the 3rd pillar of the leadership skill-set.<\/h5>\n
It means acting ethical and being able to set a standard for others to follow the same path as well.<\/h5>\n
By being a Leader, you have an opportunity to inspire others not only to do the right thing but also to consider the kind of people they want to be and how they behave.<\/h5>\n
Respect and equality are very important trait to have within the team and by nature inside the whole organisation is another example of ethical leadership.<\/h5>\n
An equal treatment of their peers is key, there is no favoritism being played out and no different or bad treatment of any member through any form of discrimination.<\/h5>\n
Ethical leadership is when business leaders demonstrate appropriate conduct in accordance with recognised principles and values both inside and outside of the workplace.<\/h5>\n
It’s achieved through their actions before their words, ethical leadership is about showing strong moral principles that will point out wrongdoings (even when it may benefit their business) and showing what’s right at the core of being an ethical leader.<\/h5>\n
Ethical leaders set the example for the rest of the organisation and expect that their actions and words are respected and followed the same way by their team members.<\/h5>\n
You could comfortably say that there are really poor examples of ethical leadership in many CEOs and different leaders today but there are equally good examples of leaders where ethical leadership has been key turning point for their success.<\/h5>\n
Achieving ethical leadership requires also a few steps from your end so you can establish it correctly.<\/h5>\n
\n\n\t\t\t\t\t Fairness:
\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>
\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n
The first and foremost important thing is fairness.
Fairness is a core ethical leadership attribute.
Fairness is about how you interact with each other and expect to be treated in return.
You expect to be treated fairly and in return, you need to learn to treat others fairly as well.
You expect to be treated fairly and in return, you need to learn to treat others fairly as well.
There is no place for favoritism or picking sides when the situation is the same for everyone,
and the expected outcome is equal, fairness is also related to how you discipline someone.
If two members make the same mistake, then they need to be treated the same way to achieve fairness.<\/h5>\n<\/details>\n

Everyone appreciates it when people are honest with them.
It creates a healthy environment where we can openly discuss important issues and how to fix them.
Being able to discuss things freely with no fear feeds directly into the trust,
and if you can’t be honest with someone then trust is not there and the conversation becomes useless with the absence of trust because simply, nobody is listening.<\/h5>\n<\/details>\n

\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n
Being accountable for poor decisions and mistakes is a great thing.
Some of us make a mistake and like to move on quickly,
others like to play the victim by throwing the blame on someone or the circumstances.
There are many scenarios of people who try to avoid taking the fall of an error that happened.
Being an ethical leader means that you are brave enough to take ownership of a mistake shows you are a strong,
well rounded leader who people would like to follow.<\/h5>\n<\/details>\n

\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>
\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n
In our modern age, the art of respectful disagreement is no longer there.
Nowadays in workplaces, you see two people disagreeing on something and then starting to have a conflict that grows continuously to an extreme extent of one another’s physical harm,
that is how toxic some discussions in the world have become.
Respect at its core is the ability to understand that while you may not agree with the other person,
you must show regard for their wishes, feelings, and rights.
A real understanding of respecting humanity is about showing the ability to consider the ideas and thoughts of others and why there are differences in thoughts and different points of view which only should be aimed to grow not to destroy.<\/h5>\n<\/details>\n
\n\n\t\t\t\t\t Equality:

There has been much discussion about equality in our day-to-day lives in many different areas.
No one wants to be treated as unequal or discriminated against when it comes to being hired, treated, promoted, or penalized in a workplace.
Being discriminated against shows that you are working with someone who is not well-rounded, ethical, or moral whatsoever.
Being an ethical leader means that everyone is the same in your eyes and it creates an attitude that looks at issues with the same level of respect around the team disregarding their gender, looks, style and any other thing than their outcome.
Be very mindful of how you react to issues because it shapes how you are, whether inside the organisation or even more critically, within your team.

Engaging in negative workplace behaviors like disregarding company policies, gossiping about colleagues, or using company time for personal matters signals to direct reports this behavior is unacceptable.<\/h5>\n<\/details>\n
