Situational Awareness<br \/>\n<\/h3>\n<h5>Situational awareness is knowing where you are and what is going on around you, allowing individuals and organisations to be more alert and informed and to make better decisions.<\/h5>\n<h5>For organisations, this includes awareness about personnel location and assigned duties, the environment, and any potential risks. It allows leaders to make informed decisions and give smart instructions, to help protect teams and property.<\/h5>\n<h5>It can be instrumental in safe crisis management, navigating emergency situations, event reporting for informed field assessment, and creating efficient workflows.<\/h5>\n<h5>We appropriately spend a great deal of time and energy on the topic of emotional intelligence (EQ) and its impact on career success.<\/h5>\n<h5>Understanding how your behaviors impact others and self-correcting are critical for success.<\/h5>\n<h5>However, situational awareness is a complementary skill set that you shouldn&#8217;t ignore as a leader.<\/h5>\n<h5>A very known definition of situational awareness is that it&#8217;s the perception of environmental elements and events with respect to time or space, the comprehension of their meaning, and the projection of their future status.<\/h5>\n<h5>But this is a very formal definition, let&#8217;s take it into a turn that is more fun.<br \/>There are 3 stages to gaining your situational awareness badge and they are :<\/h5>\n<details id=\"e-n-accordion-item-1040\" open>\n<summary data-accordion-index=\"1\" tabindex=\"0\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"e-n-accordion-item-1040\" >\n\t\t\t\t\t 1.
